Southeast Region Umpire Alumni Association

The Southeast Region Umpire Alumni Association is for any umpire that was selected to any level of a Southern (pre-2003) or Southeast Baseball or Softball Region Tournament. There is NO FEE to join the association, once you have umpired a tournament game, you are automatically a member. The association’s focus is to recognize and form a brotherhood and sisterhood of volunteer umpires who have been a part of a Southern or Southeast Regional Tournament.

SRUAA members will receive an Association patch and membership card (with membership number) in the mail. Additionally members will be eligible for a 10% discount to attend the Rules Seminar, Two-Umpire Mechanics Clinic, Four-Umpire Mechanics Clinic and Umpire Instructor Workshop held at the Region Headquarters. Mission Statement

The Southeast Region Umpire Alumni Association (SRUAA) celebrates the achievements of our Umpires and is dedicated to upholding the tradition of excellence established by the Southeast Region. The SRUAA will accomplish this mission by:

  • Adopting a culture of continuous improvement by promoting Local/State/Regional training opportunities designed to improve rules knowledge and mechanics.
  • Coordinating fellowship and network opportunities to strengthen relationships between Alumni Members and the Region.
  • Valuing a belief of selflessness and responsibility to grow the game and grow the ranks.

SRUAA members will be a guiding hand for new umpires and encourage them to strive for selection to Regional and World Series Level Baseball and Softball tournaments.  The SRUAA will offer mentorship to any umpire selected to a higher-level tournament.

SRUAA Breakfast!

We have had two breakfasts, both during the baseball Regional Tournament. We are hoping to spread that to softball and even to a date/time that may not be limited to a tournament.
